Starting salary: $11.95 / per hour with regular increases at six months, one year and every year on the hire anniversary date

Job overview and responsibilities
The United Chelsea Food Services Helper III is responsible for the ice plant operations preventative maintenance, repair and upkeep in support of the daily operation. This position is expected to comply with all United training requirements, safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This position will participate in safety meetings and support the Safety Action Team.
Operate and monitor the Ice Plant and ice bagger equipment to produce ice for the daily operation
Maintain the appropriate ice levels for the daily operation
Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of the Ice Plant and surge bin
Maintain direct communication daily with facility maintenance of any equipment issues
Replace bags and tie wires on ice bagging machine to avoid disruption
Perform monthly preventative maintenance on the facility and associated systems and kitche equipment (e.g. emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, emergency eyewash, Ice Plant, etc.)
Complete work orders assigned by Maintenance Coordinator, Lead and/or Manager
Assist mechanics in performing preventative maintenance and repairs on the facility and equipment
Operate company vehicles, catering trucks, forklifts, stock pickers, scissor lifts and electric pallet jacks; refuels vehicles with CNG, diesel, gas and/or propane
Comply with all Federal (including OSHA, USDA, FDA, HAACP and EPA), State, Denver International Airport City and County regulations associated with the facility
Perform snow removal of parking lot and sidewalks with the use of shovel, snow blower and/or snow plow truck
Performs other duties as assigned
Required
High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or educational equivalent
Working knowledge in one or more related trades to building maintenance and repair (e.g. auto mechanics, boiler maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration or general building repairs) and of the machinery, equipment and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of buildings
Ability to follow safety practices and recognize hazards
Ability to operate equipment such as forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, baler and other mechanical equipment
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to perform work in areas 10 feet or higher
Ability to communicate effectively in order to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departmental staff
Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including a working knowledge of MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel
Minimum of (2) years experience training in one or more of the following trades: auto mechanics, boiler maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration or general building repair
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license
Must be willing and able to work any shift in a 24-hour / 7-day-a-week operation including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
This position does not provide for relocation assistance
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position
