Title: Dishwasher / Sanitation
Position Reports to : Kitchen Manager and Owner
Properly cleans and sanitizes all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. Responsible for maintaining dish room and dish machine. Assists with cleaning other areas of the restaurant as requested.
Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm ( weekend shifts may be introduced at a later time)
Can operate dish machines to company and manufacturer specifications.Uses proper measurements of detergent and sanitizer in the dish machine.Restocks all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans.Removes all garbage.Breaks down, cleans, and sanitizes the dish machine at the end of a shift.Keeps dish and other storage areas clean and organized.Maintains bathrooms by cleaning and disinfecting sinks, counter tops, toilets, mirrors etc.Replenishes bathroom supplies.Carries plates and/or service trays to and from kitchen and dining room.Clear tables of dirty dishes, glassware, etc and clean table with a sanitized towel.Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant including kitchens, restrooms and grounds; this includes sweeping, mopping, wiping down and sanitizing tabletops and chairs at the end of the shift.Keep all bus stations fully stocked with clean settings, glassware and supplies.Empty all trash receptaclesPerforms additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by Kitchen Manager and Owner at any time.
Knowledge of basic sanitary guidelines.Knowledge of basic dish machine operations.
Comprehensive understanding of the English language.Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
This position will spend 100% of the time standing.Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
Learn proper use of all equipment and supplies used. (ie. dishwasher, detergent, sanitizer etc.)Understanding of work flow and process in dish washing and sanitation area.Location of various disposal containers and sorting of items to each. (organic, recyclable and waste.Proper handling of various cleaning detergents and their function according to their intended use. (dish washing, cleaning etc.)
